the weekend was burly, wild, and wonderful
hail storms, cool breezes, and some of this on Sunday
then the octopus finally got out today:
I could find no particularly special recipe to make. Octopus just seems to be another substance to cook with. Very yummy though!
I now realized that I like radishes.
smoke signals - flashing mirrors - messages in bottles - carrier pigeons - flags in the air - hoofbeats on the ground

Coptopus
Yay! My very own copy of Coptopus arrived in the mail today with original artwork by the highly talented Collin David. If cephalopod law enforcement does not make you want to start reading comics then you should rethink your life.
give a look at some of his other work, you won't be dissapointed

German Folker
We had a very pleasant German musician by the name of Thomas Wissing stay with us this week. Last night he performed at Abbey Pub, he is darn good and does an uncanny impression of Johnny Cash.

new secret message pockets
Last night I had a brain surge while buzzing through my latest set of daily blog checks, which was completely unrelated to the development of the secret-message-pockets (available soon at your local Paper Produce Factory, but nonetheless inspired me to get my hands working on something more:
here are some people for us Chicago folk you should all check out Incubate-Chicago.com (artist in residency program), John Campbell (comic/cartoonist recent transplant), Midwest Radical Culture Corridor (I could not even begin to explain all that this movement encompasses, but do not miss the boat - in town this weekend -).
